Details for workshops in Boulder, MT

Location:  For workshops and sessions in Boulder, Montana, sessions will be held at Horse Spirit Cottage, a private residence with 20 acres.  The address and directions will be provided to registrants.

Times:  As listed for the selected workshop and sessions when you book them.  

​

Equine sessions:  Interactions with the horses are from the ground either in the paddock, pasture, or round pen. No riding is involved, and no prior horse experience is necessary. A short uphill hike may be required but the session may be modified appropriately if a participant has physical limitations.  You will be asked to fill out a liability waiver and release form acknowledging your understand the inherent risks of equine activities and that you are voluntarily participating.

What to bring:  Wear weather and ranch appropriate clothing and boots or sturdy hiking shoes. No open-toed shoes or dogs are allowed around the horses. Hats, sunscreen, and bug spray are recommended. Sessions with the horses are outside in unsheltered areas. Pre-activity briefings and debriefings will be in a comfortable sheltered space. We have camp chairs for outside and folding chairs for our indoor debriefings.  Please bring a journal, pen, and water bottle.

 

Refreshments and lunch: Drinking water and a few basic refreshments (such as trail mix) will be provided.  For full-day workshops, a sandwich bar lunch with fruit and veggies will also be provided and is included with your registration.  Please let Sheri know at the time of your registration whether you have any dietary restrictions.

Participation:  Must be at least 18 years old unless special arrangements are made.
